2011, year overview

Christmas is over, New Years eve now.

Christmas Day we went to Beths house and celebrated, it was nice. Bernadette, Charlie, mark, Sarah, jay, Beth, pauline, bill, zackary, Dexter, Jason and I. And of course Moxie. It was her first Christmas and she had fun.

The kids got lots of toys, a DS for Dex, headphones for Zack. 1600 legos that I'm still afraid to open. Lots of games for the XBox/Wii.

Jason and I went to dinner last night at the Olive Garden with a gift card we got for Christmas, it was nice. I ordered Tiramisu for dinner and a beer. Just the good stuff.

Moxie sits, rolls, makes it from here to there barely. Two teeth.
Dexter reads level 1 reading books comfortably, level 2 mostly but needs a bit help. Writes all letters and numbers, mostly fine with lowercase too.
Zack just completed 20 hours volunteer work at the Lutz this week. He also made a Lego version of the White House that his grandparents sent him. 580 peices!
Jason is playing Skyrim, is in his third month at Connecticut Children's Medical Center after 12 years at Windham Hospital, and is close to finishing his bachelors.
I learned to juggle.
Went to Disney this year in March, it was wonderful. Pauline came too.
Had Moxie on fathers day, she was 4 days late.

Next year I hope to lose weight, get healthy and active. Learn to take a part a whole chicken and fish, draw the United States freehand, and relearn the flute. Keep juggling.

Write more to remember more.

Plan a vacation, 2010 was DC, New York City, Boston and 2011 was Disney. What about 2012?

Since being off of facebook for OH, 4 days (if that) I have shopped every day. I think I am replacing my time spent on Facebook with online shopping. Boots for myself and Dexter, a belly band, Dexters Laboratory season 1, Toy Story 3, and get this -- 15 (3.5oz) bags of Herrs Ketchup potato chips.

yes. I ordered 15 bags of ketchup flavored potato chips.

btw, if I can't remember in a year or two when I get back to this blog here - this was the Christmas I got arrested. Mmmyeah, no need to get into details as it is forever etched in my memory as it is!

All right, missed day two technically but its still within May 8th in my book, just happens to be 12:25am the next day :P

Had an awesome birthday.

Knit while it thunderstormed in the morning.

Thai lunch with my husband and just my husband.

Went shopping for my ice cream cake and other odds and ends with my husband, and just my husband.

Ate said ice cream cake with entire family (kids, mother in law, father in law, sister in law, mom).

Watched Star Trek.

Finishing the night off with a glass of wine.

Oh, and I wore sequins today. Lots of them. And that makes me happy.

So strange that I journaled near daily for years on Livejournal and now cant make a post a year on this thing.

So Ill try to commit to blogging daily whether or not anyone reads it, it will be good for me I guess.

My first on my list of things to do is to find my camera. I took pictures of my bracelets the other day and promptly lost the thing. Ive searched everywhere and just cant find the thing.. this will be one boring blog without pictures!

Yeah, more than Id like to have going but it is what it is. The stole I started and would like to finish before 6/26 - my anniversary because we are going to a wedding that day and Id like to wear it. The socks are for the class Im taking, and the Trellis and Coin Socks were supposed to be done (1 sock plus 1 cuff/leg done) but then I cast on for the Saroyan to keep up with my 10 Shawls in 2010. The Gail has been on the needles the longest as it is very needy of my attention when I do work on it and I think by now Ive lost my place in the pattern.

So yeah, must knit down this list!

Ahh.. happy year and change later.

Not so much but it sounds nice.

This year or so has flown by. I breastfed up until 4days ago. Im thrilled its over! Im not sure I would nurse the next one if I happen to have another. I really dont want another because Dex is so tough and demanding but if it happens Ill be reconsidering that whole tied to the boob thing. Dex still sleeps with us (and we are on the couches again sadly!) and it sucks.. we really need to get our shit together.

Zack has been doing awful in school behavior wise but the last few weeks have been better. Im looking at the Charter school here for next year. Its 6,7, and 8th grades so I hope to get him in. Given my background Im not all that crazy about public schools.. especially for the older grades.

Still at Shaws and bookkeeping. Ive got a regular schedule of 6days a week so thats nice. Tuesdays Dex and I do a baby group thats super organized and thats good for him. He needs daycare but there were no openings at the one I want to send him to so it looks like my mom and MIL will continue to sit for him over the winter. Hope he doesnt get too bored.

Other than that I have some issues going on but hopefully Im moving away from them.. its only been a day or two but I am feeling a lot better and can refocus where it needs to be. Im still a little hurt and it actually hurts a lot more the more I think of it but thats the point.. if I dont think about it it wont hurt .. cryptic? I know.

Thats all .. hopefully Ill post more and itd be super if I could KNIT and post more. Thats like triple word score kinda good.

OK - for the update much needed Ill say that breastfeeding is going wonderfully and I cant imagine stopping anytime soon. I have a great pumping schedule down at work and I pump and eat oatmeal at the same time for the 15 minutes I am given. I get about 3-4oz out so I still have to supplement with 4oz of formula when I work 3-4x a week and thats ok. We dont give a bottle most nights either. Breastfeeding in public has become a non-issue and I just whip it out whenever is necessary. I have even gotten pretty good at carrying him and feeding him at the same time. The Hotsling and Moby Wrap works out pretty good for that.

Dexter is not sleeping - thats our biggest issue right now. The past three days hes been up every hour starting at 1230am. It sucks a whole bunch but it cant last forever Im sure.

Ok.. I just wanted to update.. Ill figure out how to post a picture -- I have one in my gmail from my phone with a picture of Dex in the BabyHawk that I got from Stephanie.
